Status comes from the official Blizzard Game Data API and is refreshed every 5 minutes; population and faction balance are built from Raider.IO activity data and updated daily. Rows for connected realms show the figures of their whole group — in the game it is a single server with one economy and auction house, so picking any realm from the group makes no difference to who you can play and trade with. Use the population tier to pick a home: Very High realms mean instant groups and a busy auction house at the cost of possible queues, while Low realms offer cheap goods and a quieter levelling experience.
